Get ready to show your stuff! This year's Cheap Thrills will feature 3 Blues contests judged by our amazing Blues instructors and DJ'd by our amazing Blues DJs. All contests are free and you can sign up at the dance the night of the contest.

10:30pm Friday night Main dance.
Sign up: 8:30pm-10:00pm.
Contestant meeting: 10:00pm.
Any style Blues - modern to vintage. No partner needed, you'll be randomly matched with someone for the contest. Judges will be looking for Blues content, creativity, musicality, and partner connection. DJ'd music of varying tempos and styles.

11 pm. Saturday night Main dance.
Sign up: 9:00pm-10:15pm.
Contestant meeting: 10:30pm.
Partnered vintage blues. Judges will be looking for Blues content, style, creativity, musicality, and partner connection. DJ'd music of varying tempos, but all gritty, raw, and passionate - just like at the juke joint.

10 pm. Sunday night Main dance.
Sign up: 9:00pm-9:45.
Contestant meeting: 9:45pm.
No partner needed - it's a solo Blues contest. We'll start with a Black Bottom group jam to get you warmed up, but after that any solo Blues movement goes. We'll play a mix of Charleston-era vintage Blues music suitable for solo dancing. The judges will select 8-10 finalists, but winners will be chosen by audience applause.

First and Second place will be selected for each contest and awarded passes to one of the following events:

- Down Home Blues Dance Festival (San Francisco, CA)
- Emerald City Blues Festival (Seattle, WA)
- Red, White, and Blues (Dallas, TX)
